Rural Energy for America Program provides funding in two streams: grants that cover a quarter of the total cost for small projects and 2) loan guarantees that cover up to three-quarters of the total project.
The first program was first available in 2014, and since then many solar projects have been funded. Whether or not the program will continue still remains unknown but application deadline for this year is April.
